隨時通報案件進程 VIA REGULAR INTERNATIONAL MAIL & TELEFAX May 18, 2005 Ms. Rebecca M. Hoffman, Case Manager American Movies Association 123 Oak Street Hometown, Virginia 30012 U.S.A. Re: Beijing DVD Enterprises Co., Ltd. Dear Ms. Hoffman: This letter is to apprise you of the current status of our attempts to trace and locate Beijing DVD Enterprises Co., Ltd. As you are aware, we have rummaged all available public records and tried to contact said company through various channels but, unfortunately, it could neither be found nor be traced. We also have checked with relevant local government agencies but could not find any company registered under that name. It appears that Beijing DVD Enterprises Co., Ltd is a fictitious name and has never officially existed. Therefore, I think the best way to proceed would be to negotiate with Beijing Public Security Bureau (the local police department) as well as local industrial and commerce administration agencies for a criminal investigation into the matter. At the moment, these government organs can at least try to stop further circulation of the pirated copies of your copyrighted movies and sound tracks. Please do not hesitate to call on me if you have any questions or concerns. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Sincerely yours, Zhang, Wang & Lee _________________ Deguang Zhang, Esq.
