Dear Honorable Consul:
My name is Deguang Zhang, an attorney duly licensed to practice law in the State of
New York, and I am currently the managing attorney for Zhang, Wang & Lee, L.L.P.’s
New York branch office at the above listed address. Zhang, Wang & Lee is a
transnational law firm headquartered in Beijing. Attached is a firm brochure
detailing our history and background.
I myself am a lawful permanent resident alien in the United States. I am humbly
requesting that you kindly issue a business (B-1) visa to attorney Shouwen Li, partner
of our Beijing main office, in order to allow him to visit with us in New York City for
the opening ceremony of our New York branch office.
Attorney Shouwen Li will be visiting with us from October 1, 2004 to October 31,
2004, for one month exact.
During his visit in the United States, he will stay with me at my home at 111 Maple
Lane, Flushing, New York 10037. I will be responsible for all of his room and board
expenses while he is in the United States.
Upon the termination of his visit, he will return to Beijing, China. As will be fully
shown to you by Attorney Shouwen Li, he has been married for over twenty years
and a father of a 16 year-old son. Both of his wife and son are living in Beijing and
will not accompany him during this visit.
In all, Attorney Li will be presenting this letter to you, together with other evidence to
establish his close ties to China, and to assure you that he will return prior to the
expiration of his stay in the United States.
Your kind consideration to this request will be greatly appreciated.
