正文

Article 1
For the purpose of this Convention, the term [vessel] includes all ships and boats, of any nature whatsoever, engaged in maritime navigation, whether publicly or privately owned; it excludes ships of war.
    第一條  
    本公約所稱(chēng)的“船舶”一詞,系指不問(wèn)屬于任何性質(zhì),從事海上航行,無(wú)論公有或私有的一切船舶而言,但軍艦除外。
Article 2
Children under the age of fourteen years shall not be employed or work on vessels, other than vessels upon which only members of the same family are employed.
    第二條  
    凡兒童在十四歲以下者,不得受雇用或工作于船舶上,但船舶所使用的人員僅為同一家庭成員者,不在此限。
Article 3
The provisions of Article 2 shall not apply to work done by children on school-ships or training-ships, provided that such work is approved and supervised by public authority.
    第三條  
    凡兒童在教學(xué)船舶或培訓(xùn)船上所作的工作,如該種工作系經(jīng)政府機(jī)關(guān)核準(zhǔn)并受其監(jiān)督者,應(yīng)不是適用第二條的規(guī)定。
Article 4
In order to facilitate the enforcement of the provisions of this Convention, every shipmaster shall be required to keep a register of all persons under the age of sixteen years employed on board his vessel, or a list of them in the articles of agreement, and of the dates of their births.
    第四條  
    為便利本公約各項(xiàng)規(guī)定的實(shí)施起見(jiàn),每一船長(zhǎng)應(yīng)置備一名冊(cè),將在其船上所使用的所有十六歲以下的人員姓名及其出生日期,予以登記,或在協(xié)議條文中列一名單。
Article 5
1.Each Member of the International Labour Organisation which ratifies this Convention engages to apply it to its colonies, protectorates and possessions which are not fully self-governing:
(a) except where owing to the local conditions its provisions are inapplicable or
(b) subject to such modifications as may be necessary to adapt its provisions to local conditions.
2.Each Member shall notify to the International Labour Office the action taken in respect of each of its colonies, protectorates and possessions which are not fully self-governing.
    第五條  
    (一)凡國(guó)際勞工組織會(huì)員國(guó)已批準(zhǔn)本公約者,承允將本公約實(shí)施于其殖民地、被保護(hù)國(guó)及未完全自治的屬地,但同時(shí)得依下列規(guī)定辦理:
    (1)由于當(dāng)?shù)厍樾尾荒苓m用本公約者,予以除外;
    (2)酌作必要的修改,以使本公約的規(guī)定適應(yīng)當(dāng)?shù)厍樾巍?
    (二)每一會(huì)員國(guó)應(yīng)將其對(duì)于其每一殖民地、被保護(hù)國(guó)及未完全自治的屬地所已采取的措施,通知國(guó)際勞工局。
Article 6
The formal ratifications of this Convention, under the conditions set forth in the Constitution of the International Labour Organisation, shall be communicated to the Director-General of the International Labour Office for registration.
    第六條  
    本公約的正式批準(zhǔn)書(shū)應(yīng)送請(qǐng)國(guó)際勞工局局長(zhǎng)登記。
Article 7
As soon as the ratifications of two Members of the International Labour Organisation have been registered with the International Labour Office, the Director-General of the International Labour Office shall so notify all the
Members of the International Labour Organisation.
    第七條  
    國(guó)際勞工局局長(zhǎng)于國(guó)際勞工組織兩會(huì)員國(guó)的批準(zhǔn)書(shū)已經(jīng)國(guó)際勞工局登記時(shí),應(yīng)即以之通知國(guó)際勞工組織的全體會(huì)員國(guó)。
Article 8
This Convention shall come into force at the date on which such notification is issued by the Director-General of the International Labour Office, and it shall then be binding only upon those Members which have registered their ratifications with the International Labour Office.
Thereafter this Convention will come into force for any other Member at the date on which its ratification is registered with the International Labour Office.

    本公約應(yīng)自國(guó)際勞工局局長(zhǎng)發(fā)出前述通知之日起生效,其效力應(yīng)僅及于批準(zhǔn)書(shū)已經(jīng)國(guó)際勞工局登記的會(huì)員國(guó),此后對(duì)于其他任何會(huì)員國(guó),本公約自其批準(zhǔn)書(shū)已經(jīng)國(guó)際勞工局登記之日起生效。
Article 9
Subject to the provisions of Article 8, each Member which ratifies this Convention agrees to bring its provisions into operation not later than 1 July 1922, and to take such action as may be necessary to make these provisions effective.
    第九條  
    凡會(huì)員國(guó)已批準(zhǔn)本公約者,如適合第八條的規(guī)定時(shí),承允實(shí)行本公約之規(guī)定,不遲于1992年7月1日,并采取必要的措施,使之切實(shí)有效。
Article 10
A Member which has ratified this Convention may denounce it after the expiration of ten years from the date on which the Convention first comes into force, by an act communicated to the Director-General of the
International Labour Office for registration. Such denunciation shall not take effect until one year after the date on which it is registered with the International Labour Office.
    第十條  
    凡批準(zhǔn)本公約的會(huì)員國(guó),自本公約初次生效之日起滿(mǎn)十年后,得向國(guó)際勞工局局長(zhǎng)通知解約,并請(qǐng)其登記。此項(xiàng)解約通知書(shū),自經(jīng)國(guó)際勞工局登記之日起滿(mǎn)一年后,始得生效。
Article 11
At such times as it may consider necessary the Governing Body of the International Labour Office shall present to the General Conference a report on the working of this Convention, and shall examine the desirability of placing on the agenda of the Conference the question of its revision in whole or in part.
    第十一條  
    國(guó)際勞工局理事會(huì)在必要時(shí),應(yīng)將本公約的實(shí)施情況向大會(huì)提出報(bào)告,并審查應(yīng)否將本公約的全部或局部修正問(wèn)題列入大會(huì)議程。
Article 12
The French and English texts of this Convention shall both be authentic.
    第十二條  
    本公約的法文本與英文本同等為準(zhǔn)。
