What is the most important English skill? What skill must you have to communicate well?

什么是學(xué)好英語最重要的技巧呢？什么樣的技巧你才能讓你流利地溝通呢？

Obviously, number 1 is Fluency. What is fluency? 

很明顯，第一重要的就是流利，什么流利呢？

Fluency is the ability to speak (and understand) English quickly and easily... WITHOUT translation.   

流利就是快速地和輕松地說英語和理解英語，而不去翻譯。

Fluency means you can talk easily with native speakers，they easily understand you, and you easily understand them. 

流利意味著你可以輕松地和本土人士聊天，他們可以輕松地了解你的講話內(nèi)容，同時，你也可以輕松地理解他們的講話內(nèi)容。

In fact, you speak and understand instantly.

事實上，就是你立刻就可以說和理解的能力。

Fluency is your most important English goal.

流利是你學(xué)習(xí)英語最重要的目標(biāo)。

The research is clear，there is only ONE way to get fluency.

調(diào)查研究已經(jīng)一清二楚，只有一個方法可以讓你達到流利。

You do not get fluency by reading text- books. You do not get fluency by going to English schools. You do not get fluency by studying grammar rules.

你不能通過閱讀教科書獲得流利，你不能通過去英語學(xué)校獲得流利，你不能通過學(xué)習(xí)語法規(guī)則獲得流利。

Listening is the key.

聽才是關(guān)鍵。

To get English fluency, you must have a lot of understandable repetitive listening. 

要想使英語變得流利，你必須反復(fù)訓(xùn)練大量可以理解意思的聽力資料。

That is the ONLY way. To be a FANTASTIC English speaker, you must learn English with your ears, not with your eyes.

這是唯一的方式，想講出流利的英語，你必須用你的耳朵去學(xué)習(xí)，而不是你的眼睛。

In other words, you must listen. Your ears are the key to excellent speaking.

換句話說，你必須聽，你的耳朵是學(xué)好流利英語的關(guān)鍵。

What kind of listening is best?  Well, it must be understandable and must be repetitive. Both of those words are important，Understandable and Repetitive.

怎么樣聽才能最有效呢？嗯，必須聽可以理解的東西，同時必須是反復(fù)重復(fù)的聽。這兩個單詞是最重要的，可理解的，和反復(fù)重復(fù)的。

If you don't understand, you learn nothing. You will not improve. That's why listening to English TV does not help you. You don't understand most of it. It is too difficult. It is too fast.

如果你聽你不理解的資料，你就什么也學(xué)習(xí)不到。你也不會提高的。這就是為什么聽英語電視劇對你沒有什么幫助的原因。你不理解其中大多數(shù)的東西，就是太難了，太快了。

It’s obvious，right? If you do not understand, you will not improve. So, the best listening material is EASY. That’s right, you should listen mostly to easy English.

這很明顯，對不對？如果你不理解的話，你就不會進步。所以，最好的聽力資料就是要簡單。這是很對的，你聽的大多數(shù)的英語資料必須是簡單易懂的。

Most students listen to English that is much too difficult. They don’t understand enough, and so they learn slowly. Listen to easier English, and your speaking will improve faster!

大多數(shù)的學(xué)生聽英語就是聽那些很難的英語。他們根本不理解多少，所以他們學(xué)習(xí)的很慢。聽一些簡單的英語資料，你的口語就會進步很快的。

Understanding is Only Half The Formula.

聽能夠理解的資料僅是這個方案的一半。

Understanding is not enough. You must also have a lot of repetition. If you hear a new word only once, you will soon forget it.  If you hear it 5 times, you will still probably forget it!

理解并不是足夠的，你必須要反復(fù)聽，如過一個新單詞，你只聽一遍，你很快就會忘記的，如果你聽五次，可能還是會忘記。

You must hear new words and new grammar many times before you will understand them instantly.

你必須聽這些新詞匯和新語法很多次，直到你聽到他們的時候可以立刻理解領(lǐng)悟是什么意思。

How many times is necessary?  Most people must hear a new word 30 times to remember it forever. To know a word and instantly understand it, you probably need to hear it 50-100 times!

到底多少遍才可以呢？大多數(shù)的人都是聽三十遍才可以永遠記住一個新詞匯。要想認識一個新單詞，并且立刻領(lǐng)悟他的意思，你可能需要聽50-100遍。

That's why I tell my students to listen to all of my lessons many times. I recommend that they listen to each lesson a total of 30 times，for example，2 times a day for two weeks.

這就是為什么我告訴我的學(xué)生要聽我所有的課程很多遍的原因。我推薦他們每課總數(shù)至少要聽到三十遍，例如一天聽兩次，聽兩個星期。

So, the two most important points are:  listen to easier English and listen to each thing many times.

所以，最重要的兩個觀點就是：聽簡單一點的英語，然后聽很多遍。
