Mincemeat. It used to be an entrée mostly made up of chopped meat.

Minsmeat過去的意思是切碎的肉。
So it was like saying ‘I’ll chop you up into little bits’
chop up: 剁碎 chop into: 切碎 bit: 小片,小塊
聽起來像是就是說,我要把你切成一塊一塊的。
But that was centuries ago. Today mincemeat is mostly made up of fruit, spices and rum.
 century: 世紀(jì) mostly: 大部分 fruit: 水果 spices: 調(diào)料 rum: 甜酒
不過那是很傳統(tǒng)的做法了。今天,mincemeat包含水果,調(diào)料,酒,沒有肉。
There’s no meat in it, and still people say I’ll make mincemeat out of you.
